Why should I attend Metro Business College?

You should attend Metro if you want the personal attention and career focus that transforms "job training" into building a profession. Small classes and dedicated instructors give you an educational advantage as you prepare for the workplace.

How long has Metro Business College been around?

Students have been able to obtain an education from Metro Business College since 1968. Our oldest current location is our Cape Girardeau campus which started in 1981. Our Rolla campus opened in 1984, our Jefferson City campus opened in 1985, and our Arnold campus opened in 2007.

Is Metro Business College accredited?

Yes! We are accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). To see the full list of approvals, memberships, and certificate to operate, check out our catalog or consumer information.

Why is accreditation important?

The Department of Education says, “The goal of accreditation is to ensure that education provided by institutions of higher education meets acceptable levels of quality.” An accredited college has to uphold to a certain level of quality in its academic programs, faculty, curriculum, and career services.

How long is a quarter?

Our quarters are eleven weeks long.

Must I have a high school diploma?

To be admitted as a regular student, you must be a high school graduate (or equivalent) or have a GED.

Are there evening classes?

Currently, only our Jefferson City campuses may offer night classes.

Does Metro Business College have tutoring?

Our instructors can be available on Fridays from 8 am - 12 pm for extra assistance. You can also set up a time with your instructor to meet during the week for extra instruction.

Does Metro Business College accept credits from other schools?

Metro Business College will accept many credits from other colleges if they meet certain requirements. Always be sure to check with your MBC campus to see if your credits will be accepted.

Can I apply online?

We prefer prospective students to visit the school in order to see firsthand all that we can offer you. Also, we want to make sure you are able to receive the answers you need in order to begin your training.

Do you accept the ACT or SAT?

No. The ACT and SAT only test what you know. We use the Wonderlic Test which is a short entrance assessment that many employers use to test your capabilities and potential.

Do you guarantee job placement?

No, we cannot guarantee job placement, but we will train you and give you the skills necessary to obtain a new career.

There are three Metro Business Colleges in the state of Missouri.
Located in Cape Girardeau, Rolla and Jefferson City, our private career colleges prepare students for new careers in Business, Healthcare, and Information Technology.
Classes are held Monday through Thursday, with extra help available on Friday mornings for those who need it.
