Metro Business College is in the process of transitioning its primary accreditation to a new national accrediting body, and expects that process to be complete by June 2018. MBC has historically been accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). The US Dept of Education ruled on December 12, 2016, that they were no longer recognizing ACICS as a national accreditation body. While this action continues to be debated in the courts, MBC had no choice but to seek accreditation through another agency. As a result of this change, MBC has 18 months to find a new accrediting agency to maintain eligibility to receive funds under Title IV. If MBC does not obtain accreditation within this 18 month period, then it would no longer be possible to disburse Title IV aid. The deadline for this is June 12, 2018. We have already begun this transition and are taking the steps in the process to complete this change. Students with complaints relating to Title IV eligibility or administration, the quality of education received at Metro Business College, or otherwise relating to the accreditation standards of MBC's former accrediting agency (ACICS) can submit that complaint to Info email address for the campus you attended, and/or to any of the following agencies:
